This resulted in a delay, and us doing our self-move in 13-degree weather on icy roads rather than 40 degrees and clear. Neither we nor our realtor or our closing office had ever heard of such a practice, and it caused a great deal of upset and rush for all of us. Again, John Birke’s calm demeanor and clear communication, plus going the extra mile for us in those last 24 hours, were why we even persevered."
